About this work

Night, Rain, and Lights captures the nocturnal pulse of the metropolis beneath a veil of water. Through the energetic application of oil paint with a palette knife, the work constructs a dialogue between the vertical architecture and the liquid reflections on the asphalt. The composition is articulated by a marked diagonal perspective, punctuated by spheres of red light that act as visual beacons amidst a cold, enveloping atmosphere. A study of urban solitude, the vibration of light, and the transient beauty of the city after a storm.
